Wall Hanging Keepsake Box, Art Deco Box, Jewelry Box, Wall Art, Stained Glass Box, Wood Jewelry Box, Sentimental Box

This Art Deco keepsake box that you hang on the wall and you can open up to a message that reads, "Limit your 'always' & your 'nevers'" is very unique and a great gift to give to your loved one. Inside it has two little boxes that you can put jewelry in, money, or small keepsakes. The inside of the small boxes measures 2 1/4"W x 2"L x 3/4"D. The whole box measures 8 3/4"W x 8 3/4"L x 3 1/4"D. I made the box out of wood. The top of the box is made of stained glass. I put copper tape on the front to create the art deco inspired design, and to protect the edges of the glass. I glued antique copper knobs on the top so you can open up the box. The lid is secured by magnets to keep it shut while it hangs on the wall. I glued little metal antique copper heart charms on the inside of the lid connected by copper chain so that when the lid opens while on the wall, it stops the lid from falling down too far. I covered the wood box with copper sheet metal & pink metallic paper to create a geometric design on the outside of the box. It is secured by tiny copper nails. I screwed the little antique copper hinges onto the wood and glued the top to the glass. I hand embroidered black cotton fabric with metallic embroidery thread and screwed the shelves in. This box was made for a project in my 3-D art class.
